What is Podiatry?
The term Podiatry has replaced Chiropody and Podiatrist is now the protected title for healthcare professionals who work to improve the mobility, independence and quality of life of their clients. Podiatrists provide comprehensive care and advice on all matters relating to the health of the foot and lower limb.

- Foot health check
- Routine nail care
- Nail conditions e.g. ingrowing/thickened toe nails
- Callous and corns
- Verrucae
- Fungal and bacterial infections of the skin and nails
- Bunion Management
- Arch and heel pain (Plantar Fasciitis)
- Diabetic and Rheumatic foot management
Treatment Options
A selection of treatments for each condition may be available. To enable clients to make an informed decision, the advantages, cost, time, frequency of visits, discomfort and possible recurrence of a condition will be discussed and a personal treatment plan agreed. Prices may vary. Most routine appointments cost £27.
Podiatry appointments will be held at the Health Oasis on Fridays.
Clinics are also held at the Aros Centre in Portree, Plockton Community Hall and Inverinate Community Hall. Home visits can be arranged for those clients who are not able to attend a clinic, however mileage charges may apply.
