Jo Royle

I am a meditation teacher, coach and facilitator working in the main with adults.

My interest in meditation began when I was travelling in South East Asia in 2002 but it wasn’t until 2009 when I found a teacher.  At the time I was doing a lot of 1:1 coaching with business owners and wanted to find a way to better access and trust my intuition – it was that that led me to learn to meditate.

In 2012, having made the practice I learnt 3 years earlier, a regular practice & experiencing many benefits – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, I decided to undertake a course with my teacher to learn to teach meditation.  Since then I have shared the practice with over 350 people.

Before settling on Skye, in 2015, my family and I travelled around the UK coast in a converted library bus – exploring a different way of life – exchanging labour for places to stay, living with less, home schooling and for me teaching meditation.  It was our intention, when setting of from Saltburn, North Yorkshire in September 2014, that we would drive all the way around the coast… but Skye captured our hearts and we’ve been here ever since!

My work is varied, besides running 1 day meditation courses, teaching meditation over skype and running a regular meditation group, I also facilitate coaching and facilitation skills courses and run action learning sets for managers working in businesses and public sector organisations.  In collaboration with a friend in addition I run Brave Souls which offers retreats, workshops and 1:1 coaching helping people to explore their authentic selves, speaking their truth and living brave.

I am committed to my own spiritual development and recently did an 18 month intensive course with my teacher which ended in January 2017.

I believe what the world needs most is for us to show up as our true selves and to bring the gifts we have to offer… all of my work supports this in one way or another.
